Brad Pitt - Actor

Born December 18, 1963 at 6:31 AM
in Shawnee (OK) (USA)
Sagittarius 25°52 AS Sagittarius 11°55

The predominance of planets in the Northern hemisphere prompts you to reflect and imagine rather than show your actions whilst you avoid public recognition. So, in order to moderate this state of affairs, if you wish to do so, it is up to you to force your nature to act in broad daylight, communicate and impose yourself... you will then go forward in this concrete life and enjoy your new acquired situation.

The predominance of planets in the Eastern hemisphere of your chart enables you to assert yourself and to count on your determination : you know what you want and you have a tendency to act and decide by giving priority to your personal goals, even if they can be in contradiction to what others think.

A clear asset indeed... provided that you are never mistaken in the choices you make. You should take the others into account to counterbalance your nature and use your assets in a wise manner. Indeed, there could be the risk of you being too bossy and not conciliating enough. Strong determination allied to flexibility and an acute sense of communication are the qualities you should develop.

The three most important planets in your chart are Jupiter, Mercury and Pluto.

Jupiter, the planet of expansion, organisation, power and benevolence, is quite pronounced in your chart. Like any Jupiterian, you are warm, open, sociable, consensual and active. Optimistic, you can use your self-confidence to erase differences of opinions and leave the specialists the task of analysing and perfecting things. Your role, and you have known it since a young age, is to gather, to show your spirit of synthesis and conciliation and to naturally reap fruits of it - power.

You appreciate legality, social order but also order in general. With you as a leader, every plan or human entity can be organised and structured. You excel at supervising. The Jupitarian type is indeed the politician per excellence and a positive Jupiter in a chart is synonymous of a good integration into society, whatever the chosen path.

Is this idyllic picture really shadow less? Obviously not: each typology of planet has its own weaknesses. One of yours is pride, like the Solarian, but your will of expansion at all costs can generate a form of exaggeration for everything, endless pleasure, inappropriate confidence that could attract you to rough materialism, the thirst for an absurd material comfort - in the worst case naturally.

With Mercury as a dominant planet, you are certainly intellectual, nervous, quick, curious, lively-spirited, and love to communicate. Your psychological pattern is mental, and all the more so since Mercury is important, bringing with it assets but also weaknesses, obviously.

Your sensitivity, emotions, heart's outbursts come after reflection, which can lead people to think you're a playful and witty but heartless person, intellectualising situations and juggling with words and numbers whilst ignoring the human aspect of things. Of course, they say the cat always lands on its feet - this is your Mercurian strength and your best asset !

Your weakness lies in your nervousness and it happens that sometimes you miss your goal by "mentalizing" too much. You could forget other kind of energies such as instinct, spontaneity, heart, sensitivity, etc.

With Pluto as a dominant planet in your chart, you are a kind of a magnetic and powerful predator, rather like the Scorpio sign ruled by this planet, who needs to exert pressure on others in order to "test" them. You're always ready to evolve, to risk destruction for reconstruction - including your own -, to live more intensely whilst imposing your secret authority on things and people that you come across in your life.

You can pass for wicked, cruel or too bossy but you actually just follow your instinct, you sound people out and like to exert your domination simply because your vital energy is too powerful to stay inside. You're a passionately inclined being with hidden motivations. You are often misunderstood but one of your great Plutonian assets is to go successfully through each life ordeal with an ever growing strength.

Eva GREEN (James Bond 007 Girl)

born July 5, 1980 at 12:00 PM (unknown) in Paris (France)

Introduction

Here are some character traits from of Eva GREEN's birth chart. This description is far from complete but can shed light on his personality which is still interesting for the professionals or lovers of astrology.

N.B.: The birth time is unknown, so the chart is drawn for 12 pm - the legal time of his birth place; the astrological houses are not taken into account, this extract of astrological profile is therefore less detailed than the ones with a known birth time.

The dominant planets of Eva

When interpreting a birth chart, the best method is to start gradually from the general features to the specific ones. Thus, there is usually a plan to follow; from the global analysis of the chart and its structure, to the description of the different character traits.

Firstly, the global analysis of the chart enables us to define the main personality features and emphasize some points that are confirmed or not in the detailed analysis : be that as it may, those general traits will have to be taken into account. A human personality is an infinitely complex entity to describe and wanting to sum it up in a short way is illusory, but that does not mean it's an impossible challenge. Reading a birth chart several times is essential in order to soak up the different meanings and to grasp all this complexity. But the game is worth the candle.

The birth chart is diagrammatically composed of ten planets : two luminars, Sun and Moon, three fast moving or individual planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars, two slow moving planets, Jupiter and Saturn, and three very slow moving planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Other parts of the charts are : the secondary elements ( Lunar Nodes, the Dark Moon or Lilith, Chiron and other asteroids such as Vesta, Pallas, Ceres or Juno, particular bodies like the Arabic Parts, Vertex, the Black Sun, hypothetical planets, etc.) and 12 astrological houses, all positioned in a zodiac consisting of 12 signs from Aries to Pisces.

The importance of each planet must at first be estimated, that's what we call the search for the dominant planets. This search obeys rules that depend on the astrologer's sensitivity and experience but they also have a strong and clear basis : thus, we can take into account the parameters of a planet activity (the number of active aspects concerning a planet, the importance of each aspect depending on its nature and its accuracy), the parameters of angularity (the proximity to the 4 angles, Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant and Immum Coeli or Nadir, all of this evaluated numerically according to the nature of the angle and the space between the latter and the planet) and the parameters of quality ( rulership, exaltation, exile and fall). Finally, other criterias such as the rulership of the Ascendant and the Midheaven etc are important.

This different criteria allows some planets to be valorised and leads to useful conclusions when interpreting the chart.

The global analysis of the chart begins by observing 3 planet distributions in the map :Eastern or Western hemisphere, Northern or Southern hemisphere, and quadrants (North-eastern, North-western, South-eastern and South-western). These 3 distributions give a general tone in terms of introversion and extraversion, of willpower and sociability and of certain behavioural predispositions.

We then have 3 other distributions : the elements (called triplicity since there are 3 groups of signs for each one) - Fire, Air, Earth and Water - corresponding to a character typology, modality (or quadruplicity with 4 groups of signs for each one) - Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable - and polarity (Yin and Yang).

There are then 3 types of dominants :dominant planets, dominant signs and dominant houses. The novice thinks astrology just means "to be Aries" or sometimes, for example, "to be Aries Ascendant Virgo". It is actually far more complex. The Sun and the Ascendant themselves alone can indeed reveal a big part of the character- between around 30 and 60% according to the chart, however a person is neither "just the Sun" (what is called the sign) nor just "the first house" (the Ascendant). Thus, the influence of a particular planet can be greatly increased; a particular sign or house can contain a group of planets that will bring nuances and sometimes weaken the role of the Ascendant, the Sun sign etc.

Lastly, two other criteria; the accentuations (angular, succedent and cadent) which are a classification of the astrological houses and the types of decans that are occupied (each sign is divided into three decans of 10° each), will add some informations in this first general part.

These eleven (or six if the birth time is unknown) general character traits must not be taken literally; they are, in a way, preparing for the reading of the chart. They allow an understanding of the second part of the analysis which is more detailed and accurate and focuses on each personality aspects by establishing a hierarchy of planets, signs, houses and aspects.

Warning: When the birth time is unknown, which is the case for Eva, a certain number of paragraphs cannot be dealt; the distributions in hemispheres and quadrants are meaningless, so are the dominant houses and the houses accentuations. Therefore, some chapters are removed from this part.

For all paragraphs, the criteria for valorisation are calculated without the angles, the rulership of the Ascendant and the Midheaven. The calculation method is still valid, but it is less precise without the birth time.

Reese Witherspoon (Actress)

Actress Reese Witherspoon certainly hasn't allowed herself to be typecast -- she's played a hilarious hellion from the wrong side of the tracks (Freeway), a calculating nineteenth-century social climber (Vanity Fair) and a not-so-dumb blonde lawyer (in the Legally Blonde movies). But in all her roles, the same qualities shine through: a certain sweetness, a certain earnestness, a certain seriousness and a particularly sharp edge of intelligence and savvy behind it all. She also possesses classic beauty and a timeless quality, evidenced by the number of period pieces she's successfully pulled off. Her resume is full of varied roles in both independent and mainstream films, and she has claimed not to want any of her films to be hits at the box office. No, she's not crazy -- she simply wants to avoid 'the huge inundation of press and all that rigmarole that comes with having a hit movie,' to put it in her own words. Once her film Cruel Intentions (in which she starred opposite then-boyfriend and now-husband, Ryan Phillippe) was a hit, however, Witherspoon was undeniably on the map of the stars. Since then, her Hollywood cred has grown exponentially, and she's also busy raising her two children. What can the stars reveal about Witherspoon's talent and her seemingly incredible good luck?

Birth Details:
March 22, 1976
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Witherspoon has a real powerhouse of a birth chart, one that reveals dynamic energy, ambition and optimism in equal parts. Born under an Aries Sun, she personifies the fiery qualities of the Ram: She's brash and confident, and she possesses a forthright energy that is appealing in its electric honesty. She is likely to be even more impetuous and quick-tempered than many born under this sign, due in part to her Sun's square to Mars, which heightens her natural Aries vitality and unleashes the passion of Mars, the planet of drives and ambition. With this placement, she may be truly impulsive, perhaps occasionally motivated by anger or arrogance. (Did this aspect help Witherspoon slip easily into her role in Election?) The unrestrained energy and ambition created by this square are only heightened and intensified by her Sun's opposition to Pluto. This aspect betrays a relentless drive for power and an incredibly ambitious nature. Witherspoon is likely to be rather forceful and demanding; she may actually intimidate people without even meaning to! Her Sun's conjunction to Mercury is yet another powerful aspect that strengthens her will to act on her ideas. In other words, she isn't just a lot of talk -- she finds a way to turn her ideas into reality. The people in Witherspoon's life are likely to see her as an inspiration, thanks to her incredible energy and confidence.

She's not all strength, fire and ambition, however, and definitely has her soft side. With Venus, her love planet, in Pisces, Witherspoon places love above almost all else. She needs lots of affection and is a true romantic. She is a sensitive, sympathetic friend and a tender, sentimental partner. She's likely to be a fun and exciting lover as well -- her Venus trines Uranus, generating a lively spontaneity in both Witherspoon's love life and her friendships. This aspect ensures that her marriage will never be dull (lucky Ryan!).

Her communication planet, Mercury, lies in Pisces as well. This brings quite a bit of subtlety to Witherspoon's brazen Aries Sun; where Aries is all about overtness and anything that's immediately apparent, Pisces is all about interiors, vibrations and the things that go on below the surface. With Mercury in Pisces, Witherspoon's emotional perceptions are heightened, as is her psychic awareness. This is a great placement for an actor, as it enables her to connect intuitively with the characters she plays. Regarding her method for choosing whether to accept a role, Witherspoon says, 'I have a weird process, but the main thing is ... I hear her voice in my head.... Unless I hear the voice, I can't do it.' Mercury in Pisces also suggests that she is highly imaginative and creative, but that her ideas may not always be practical; her chart's trine between Mercury and Saturn, however, strengthens Witherspoon's logic and mental objectivity. She is able to structure her reasoning around well-ordered facts. This aspect aids her in practical, sensible planning; nothing is left up to chance. For this reason alone she would be almost ensured success.

Her Mars in Cancer further enhances her emotional life. The planet of passion in this sensitive water sign indicates that Witherspoon's actions are closely linked to her emotions. She does things based on how she's feeling; therefore her motives might sometimes seem illogical or otherwise obscure to others. With this placement, she may tend to resent criticism and could have trouble being objective about her work. It's a good thing, then, that her passion planet trines Uranus, enabling her to be decisive and timely in her actions. This trine indicates that she is inventive and enterprising, willing to try new and risky methods of getting what she wants. Her Mars also sextiles Jupiter, an aspect that further heightens her already high levels of energy and ambition, but also serves to keep her honest.

It's a good thing Witherspoon is so headstrong and directed, because the square between Jupiter and Saturn in her chart indicates that she will only reach true success through hard work. Her current successes clearly aren't the result of just a lot of good luck; somehow Witherspoon seems to have paid her dues. Her Neptune sextiles Pluto, which further suggests that this actress is well along her path of personal growth. Since Neptune holds personal significance in Witherspoon's chart (it appears in several important aspects, and her Mercury and Venus are in Pisces, Neptune's sign of dignity), she is able to reach the highest form of Plutonian evolution.

Quentin Tarantino

He's Hollywood's enfant terrible, a producer-writer-director who pushes the envelope with scintillating, often scary, always hilarious results. Best known for his Academy Award-winning (for best screenplay) film Pulp Fiction, Aries Quentin Tarantino also made headlines with the super-violent Kill Bill flicks. So what makes the Jackie Brown bossman tick?

Birth Details:
March 27, 1963
Knoxville, Tennessee

Born under an Aries Sun, Tarantino is a man of action, much like the characters in his films. He's a firebrand who feels most comfortable in the action film genre. With both his Sun and Mercury in Aries, it's also easy for the director to speak his mind, enabling him to coax winning performances from his actors.

Thanks to Venus and Saturn in Aquarius, Tarantino is a real risk-taker and visionary, someone who will try anything once. Even so, he's repressing his true self -- a renegade for the next millennium. This futurist eschews conservative arenas while he busies himself creating a brave new world. Where relationships are concerned, this planetary alignment signals someone who can't stand to have his freedom restricted -- Tarantino needs a progressive lover who doesn't mind maintaining an open relationship.

With his Jupiter in Pisces, Tarantino is blessed with true intuition. He knows instinctively what the public will want, explaining the unexpected success of Pulp Fiction. Tarantino's Mars in Leo speaks to his creative flair. Encouraged by his Aries Sun, Hollywood's do-it-all director has plenty of great moviemaking energy left in him, so stay tuned!

George W. Bush (U.S. President)

Former Texas governor and president for the new millennium George W. Bush followed in his father's footsteps with his 2000 bid for the United States presidency -- and he solidified his family's political dynasty even further when he won re-election in 2004. Dubya's known for his malapropisms and his hawkish international policy; what do the stars have to say about the leader of the free world?

Birth Details:
July 6, 1946
7:26 AM
New Haven, Connecticut

Bush was born under a Cancer Sun. Cancer is the sign of the home, which can refer to one's immediate house and family or, in a wider sense, to one's homeland as a whole. In Bush's case, of course, family and country are inextricably intertwined. Familial respect and connections are generally of very high importance to Cancers (often regardless of whether those familial connections are positive or troublesome). This may help explain Bush's urge to take his father's lead and succeed in the same arena. And those born under Cancer's watery influence tend to be emotional, moody and sensitive; George W. may feel a lifelong need to prove something to his father and to the world at large.

With his Moon in Libra, the sign of balance, Bush struggles with issues of balance in thought and deed. He may often equivocate, relying on others to provide his agenda, and his subsequent actions can seem rash and less than fully thought out. And Bush's reputation as a lover of the good times is no coincidence; Libra is a social sign, which, combined with a Cancer Sun, makes for a hospitable, personable good old boy who wants everyone to feel at home -- and wants home to be a party.

Bush's Mercury in Leo marks him as an authoritarian and a dramatic talker who may verge on opinionated arrogance. He believes his views (once he establishes them) are the only views anyone could possibly sensibly hold. While the 43rd president may appear to indulge dissenting opinions in his characteristically affable manner, it's questionable whether he'll absorb anything from them.

Dubya's Mercury also conjuncts Pluto, the planet of power and destruction. Couple that with his Sun's square to Jupiter, and you have a man who possesses the potential to mesmerize the masses with his message, but who needs to be extra careful that his message is real and practical.

What the Sun-Jupiter square takes away in practicality, however, is replaced by his Mars in Virgo, the element of his chart that really gives Bush his edge. His ambitions are quite focused and directed toward a specific goal. He is concerned with efficiency and has an eye for detail -- which he can sometimes get caught up in, failing to grasp the reality of a situation as a whole.

All the planets in Bush's chart fall on its eastern side: This points to a resistance to the influence of outside factors. Bush will pursue the goals he thinks are worthy of pursuit, regardless of what anyone may advise him to do.

David Bowie (Musician)

His tune 'Changes' provides an apt description of David Bowie himself. During a career that's spanned several decades, the 'Chameleon of Pop' has both changed with and defined music and fashion trends. While growing up in challenging circumstances in London, Bowie developed an interest in music, which led him to learn to play the guitar and the saxophone. After high school, he temporarily teamed up with a band before breaking off to pursue his own solo endeavors. In 1969, Bowie earned his first hit in the U.K. with the single 'Space Oddity,' which also tore up the charts when it was released in the U.S. Glam rock and gender-bending costuming colored Bowie's stint as Ziggy Stardust in the early '70s. Many other personas and more hits followed, including successful collaborations with the likes of Queen, Tina Turner and Mick Jagger. Bowie also turned his talents toward the silver screen, appearing in a variety of films, and launched his own website and boutique Internet service provider. His music career continues, and Bowie's also a survivor of drug addiction and major heart surgery -- not to mention husband to gorgeous, exotic supermodel Iman (and father of her child). How does he do it all? The stars may have a hunch!

Birth Details:
January 8, 1947
London, England

A Capricorn Sun sheds some light on Bowie's business savvy and ambition. This is, after all, the man who sold himself on Wall Street in a $55 million bond deal. The Goat makes for a person who cautiously plans things out every step of the way, constantly working toward their goal -- which, of course, is the top! Hardworking and conscientious, Bowie seeks security and stability; gaining some fame along the way wouldn't be too shabby either. His Sun makes a square to Neptune, indicative of a creative and intuitive person. This man of many personas and talents has a vivid imagination and a wild fantasy life.

With his Moon in Leo, the artist once known as Ziggy Stardust has creativity and imagination galore. The loud and proud Lion ensures that everything he does will be bigger and better. A natural performer, he has a flair for the dramatic and fairly sparkles with charisma.

The planet of communication, Mercury, finds itself in Capricorn, alongside Bowie's Sun. Realistic and practical to the core, Bowie is self-disciplined and detailed when going after his goals. He has a flypaper memory for facts and figures, as these might come in handy further down the road. Common sense, organization and tact characterize communication as ruled by Capricorn. Mercury's square to Neptune, the planet of illusion, adds a creative, out-there spin to things. Articulating thoughts could be a complicated endeavor for Bowie, and he may sometimes say things that no one else understands since they're so far out there in the stratosphere.

When it comes to matters of the heart, Bowie has Venus cozying up to Sagittarius, making him someone who likes his freedom. Adventure and excitement color his relationships, leading him to a taste for the new, different and exotic. Iman had better be able to keep up with this adventurer! Venus's trine to Saturn, the planet of responsibility and discipline, has a slowing effect on the fiery influence of the Archer in Bowie's chart. This signals that long-term relationships could be better suited to Bowie (who has been with Iman for more than a decade).

With Mars, the planet of passion, in Capricorn (yes, the Goat again!), Bowie's energy goes toward fulfilling all his ambitions; he's determined to fulfill his long-term plan. His Mars conjuncts the Sun, which makes him even more of a go-getter and adds quite a bit more oomph to the Goat's natural ambition. Bowie is particularly assertive; he knows what he wants and goes after it. With five cardinal planets in his chart, Bowie is an initiator and an innovator. Shaping music history and fashion trends is a given for this self-starter.

Angelina Jolie (Actress)

Actress Angelina Jolie, never a stranger to Hollywood, has certainly established herself as a star in her own right. With three -- count 'em -- Golden Globes under her belt and an Oscar for best supporting actress in Girl, Interrupted to boot, Jolie, an airy Gemini, is flying high. The daughter of actor Jon Voight is a former model and tattooed bad girl who first received major critical acclaim for her roles in the TV movies George Wallace and Gia. She has gone on to hold her own opposite the likes of Denzel Washington (in The Bone Collector), Nicolas Cage (in Gone in Sixty Seconds) and Brad Pitt (in Mr. and Mrs. Smith), and her embodiment of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider definitely proved that this star is a force to be reckoned with. Her tempestuous personal life has also garnered her lots of publicity and attention, but Jolie has come happily down to earth in her latest roles as mother and humanitarian. Let's see what the stars have to say about what makes this beauty a star.

Birth Details:
June 4, 1975
Los Angeles, California

Born under Gemini's influence, Jolie was bound from the beginning to follow her own path toward self-knowledge and enlightenment. Geminis have a great urge to communicate and express themselves, making acting a natural career choice; they also enjoy a constant, driving thirst for knowledge. They will not rely on the teachings of others, but instead must learn everything firsthand, regardless of the cost. Geminis may have difficulty concentrating on one particular field or career for very long.

Jolie is a true Gemini: As a child, she wanted to be a funeral director, but then began attending the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute at the tender (and precocious) age of 11. Next she went into modeling, and later entered film school at New York University. Now Angelina is an established actress and one of Hollywood's hottest stars. But don't expect this leading lady to stick with acting for long -- her intense desire to learn life's lessons firsthand, coupled with her tendency to drop projects before they're finished, will most likely lead her places even she'll be surprised to go. And the traveling she's done as a UN Goodwill Ambassador has certainly gotten her off to an impressive start!

Gemini is an air sign, but Jolie's a real firebrand. This could have something to do with the heavy fire sign influence in her chart: Both Mars and Jupiter, her planets of passion and luck, reside in fiery Aries, making Jolie a direct, aggressive and competitive person who goes after what she wants on impulse, without a backward glance. Again, these planets' position in Aries influences Jolie's courageous, carefree enthusiasm for life, as well as her potential inability to finish what she's started. One great life lesson for her will be learning to ground herself and commit to one project or undertaking -- or person.

Venus, the planet of love, resides in Cancer in Jolie's chart. For her, marriage means security. She has a tendency to cling to those she loves, whether romantically or platonically (in her Oscar acceptance speech on March 26, 2000, she tearfully proclaimed her undying love for her brother). Her marriage to British actor Jonny Lee Miller didn't last long. Jonny's a Scorpio -- a water sign -- which may help explain their split. Jolie's chart is almost completely lacking in earth signs; she may do best with an earthy mate who provides her with the stability and practicality that she can't easily provide for herself.

Billy Bob Thornton wasn't an earth sign -- and wasn't the lifelong mate for Jolie either. Jolie's Mars in Aries makes her a doer, not a talker. She married Miller wearing black rubber pants and a t-shirt bearing his name on the back -- written in her own blood. She married Thornton even though he was already engaged to someone else (actress Laura Dern). Is Jolie crazy or callous? Not necessarily either -- she simply feels and acts passionately. Her Moon squares Saturn, however, which lends an inhibitive influence to her emotional life; as much as she wants love, and as passionate as she can feel about another person, she may tend toward despondency and discouragement in her love life. She would benefit from learning to be more trusting and optimistic.

Jolie, French for 'pretty,' is actually Angelina's middle name. The strong Gemini influence in Angelina's chart makes her totally unwilling to ride on her famous father's Hollywood coattails. Her Mercury is in Gemini as well, gracing her with an agile, perceptive mind and the ability to think logically. Her Saturn is in Cancer, which will benefit her well on her course through life: Whether she continues with acting or settles on another form of self-expression, Angelina is graced with the tenacity to continue on any course she chooses, regardless of the obstacles that may arise. She does not want anyone's sympathy and would rather solve her own problems without anyone's help. If she can keep her energies from becoming divided (her Jupiter in Aries frequently leads her to overextend herself), she is likely to go far and find the peace and knowledge that she seeks.
